On January 1st 2018 , the French network Zero Dechet, has launch a challenge Le Défi "Rien de neuf ?" , not buying anything new for one year “ . It’s a great insentive for the 9000+ myself participants that have decided to tackle the issue. Here I am... the battery of my iphone 4 (bought second hand in 2012) went dead. I could choose to buy a new phone or a second hand phone or to buy a (new!) battery and to give it another 2 years of life...For 53 euros - all included- I have replaced the obsolete batteries for a new one.
